Air Conditioning & Building Services in Billericay, Wickford & Rainham
High Performance Air Conditioning Systems for Domestic & Commercial Customers, Billericay
Air conditioning is an important factor in many environments in including domestic and business arenas in Billericay. Homeowners want all year round comfort, and business owners care about the wellbeing of their staff and customers. It is a fact that when employees have pleasant surroundings, productivity is boosted and absenteeism is reduced. HVAC systems are more often than not included in the design process of new builds these days. This means a constant balance of heating, cooling, humidity control and ventilation within the home or workplace.
It is crucial that your air conditioning system is manufactured by reputable companies like Mitsubishi, Daikin, Samsung and Hitachi who use the latest cutting edge technology. Up to date systems perform to the highest standards while cutting emissions and saving you money. They are also less likely to need repairing or replacing if regularly maintained.
Assessment & Advice on Air Conditioning Products & Services, Wickford
The regulations governing air conditioning maintenance and installation are variable depending on ultimate application. Rules which cover air conditioning for schools and hospitals are different to units designed for use in a retail or industrial setting. A professional air conditioning installer will ensure there are no legal pitfalls.
Another reason to choose an experienced, knowledgeable company like SJB Mechanical & Building Services Ltd, is their ability to assess and determine the particular needs and limitations of your building. For instance, an older listed building in Billericay, Wickford or Rainham, will require a very different approach when installing new systems, as opposed to brand new buildings.
Maintenance Contracts for Commercial Air Conditioning Clients, Rainham
Our extensive experience in the industry means that we can advise on the ideal air conditioning system to suit all needs. As Refcom (Air Conditioning) Registered Installers, we install, service and maintain HVAC systems for many properties in and around London and Essex. We have contracts with UK insurer Hiscox, US Pharma Research company Abbott Laboratories, BAM FM and several major shopping centres in London and Essex.
A recent London project involved transferring 15 air conditioning units from one end of a building to the office roof, requiring refrigeration pipework and electrical services redirection along with air ventilation system rerouteing. We then ensured that the units were contained in a sound proof box in line with local authority standards.
The Benefits of a Variable Refrigerant Flow System
When it comes to selecting an air conditioning system that suits your needs, the VRF system – known in full as variable refrigerant flow – is a popular choice for many properties in Billericay, Wickford and Rainham. It’s been described as the “Rolls Royce” of air conditioning systems because it comes with a whole range of advantages.
VRF systems come with an integrated piece of kit known as inverter compressors, which enable your system to use less power as well as lower heating and cooling loads. That means your energy bills will be lower when they arrive, and it’s more environmentally friendly too. What’s more, VRF systems are usually built in a modular way, meaning they are easily expanded. The benefit of this is that your air conditioning system can grow without too much fuss if you need it to, and you can simply add extra units as part of the same system as and when you like.
In addition, the flexibility of the system means that it can both heat and cool your different spaces at the same time – which is ideal when you need to juggle different temperature needs. By setting up different zones in a building via the use of many separate units at once, you can keep one room cool (a food storage space, for example) while you give another room (perhaps a place where customers spend a lot of time) nice and warm, which gives you an unrivalled level of flexibility. VRF systems are also ideal for locations where there’s not a huge amount of space, because they operate well in tight spaces like retail destinations, office cubicles and more.
Here at SJB Mechanical & Building Services Ltd, we’ve got lots of experience installing VRF systems in both commercial and residential properties across Billericay, Wickford and Rainham. One indoor unit tends to be able to support a large range of outdoor units, and we can help you install up to thirty outdoor units for every one you use inside. Now that’s a network!
Billericay Swimming Pool, Site Development in Wickford, Horrid Hill & Rainham
The community surrounding Billericay swimming pool has for a number of years been anxious about possible closure of the much loved facility, but nothing could be further from the truth. The First Strokes Swimming Pool was refurbished with the front reception receiving an upgrade with the addition of a purpose built reception desk and shop. The building was fitted with air conditioning, given new lighting and flooring, and decorated. The enhancements are set to provide swimmers with a comfortable and safe environment.
A development of 575 new homes is underway on the site of the old Runwell Hospital north of Wickford. The site covers 200 acres and will be home to the housing estate named St Luke’s Park, which will include a community centre, shops, offices, new roads and utilities. The developers have pledged to apply significant improvements to the A132 in order to ease any congestion, and will also upgrade Runwell Sports and Social Club. There is a gruesome tale behind the naming of ‘Horrid Hill’ which is part of Riverside Country Park in Rainham. The area was reputedly frequented by smugglers due to it’s location, and convicts housed on prison ships or ‘hulks’ would often attempt to escape, whereupon they were captured and hanged here as a warning. Hence the name ‘Horrid Hill’.
